Event description

Kick off this winter season by creating your own natural wreath to adorn your home in this hands-on workshop at the Theodore Payne Foundation!

Let your creativity bloom as you craft a unique, nature-inspired decoration. We’ll provide an 18-inch grapevine wreath and an array of native plant cuttings—both fresh and dried—along with ribbons, floral wire, and glue guns. Optionally, participants are welcome to bring personal touches from home, such as bows, ornaments, or special cuttings from your garden.

From toyon berries to fragrant sages; celebrate the holidays that matter to you, by incorporating the beauty of California native plants in a fun, creative atmosphere!

This workshop is open to families. One child, aged 10+ older, is welcome to join a ticketed parent or guardian in making one wreath together. Only one child per adult. Parents are responsible for their child’s participation and safety. Scissors, garden snips, wire, hot glue, and other tools may be used in this workshop.

Maryanne Pittman is the Director of Public Programs at the Theodore Payne Foundation, a Certified California Naturalist, and an experienced art and design professional. She holds degrees in Fine Art and Biology, and specializes in conservation education.
