Native Plant Fall Maintenance Basics with Erik Blank
Event description
Prepare yourself in the lead up to our annual Fall Plant Sale at Theodore Payne Foundation. From mulching to pruning and everything in between! Learn to care for the native plants already established in your garden before you bring some more into your setting.
Join Horticulture Educator, Erik Blank, for an overview of seasonal maintenance practices, watering schedules, and pruning techniques using practical examples to give you a solid foundation in assessing the needs of your native garden as we say goodbye to summer's dormant period.
This walk and talk will be held outdoors in our demonstration gardens. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and to prepare for up to one hour of walking on sloped and uneven surfaces. Water bottles are strongly recommended.
Erik Blank is a long-time California native plant enthusiast with professional experience in restoration, installation and maintenance. He joined the TPF staff in June of 2020 working in Horticulture and Education.
Refund Policy: If you are feeling sick or experiencing covid-19 symptons we urge you to stay home. Please note refunds/credit are not available within 7 days of the event.
