Fall planting season is fast approaching! Plan your new native garden with expert guidance in our Three-Part Design class!
This comprehensive three-session course for home gardeners offers a sound foundation in design styles and process, the importance of sustainability and how to model a garden after patterns in nature.
Students will devise a base/plot plan, implementing knowledge of hardscape materials, irrigation, soils, and more. Before the class, students will need to complete a preliminary questionnaire and a warm-up, base-map exercise for their site.
This is not an introductory course, but rather 1-on-1 sessions aimed at providing help for a site-specific project you have in mind to come to fruition. Students will need to submit a preliminary questionnaire for their site and complete a warm-up exercise prior to the class.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: Our introductory Right Plant, Right Place class is offered monthly and strongly recommended before the start of the design course.
Carol Armour Aronson is an award-winning landscape designer and contractor, and the owner of Seco Verde, Inc, a firm specializing in drought-resistant regionally appropriate landscapes.
