Taught by Tami Fuller, a second-generation fiber artisan, arts & fiber educator and exhibiting fine fiber artist with Missy Singer Dumars, owner, steward and educator of Crown Hill Farm delve into the enchanting world of natural indigo dyeing.
Learn the intricate techniques of Shibori, often referred to as "origami for cloth," as you explore the mesmerizing art of resist dyeing.
During the workshop, experiment with various methods such as clamping, stitching, and binding to create captivating patterns on fabric. With expert guidance, you'll use the fundamentals of Shibori, discovering how to achieve stunning repeating designs that dance with vibrant shades of indigo blue.
Immerse yourself in creativity as you dip dye a pair of cotton tea towels for everyday use and a silk summer wearable in our traditional indigo vat.
Whether you're a seasoned artisan or a curious beginner, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to unleash your artistic flair and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
Attendees may also bring one small item to dye such as a t-shirt, pillowcase or napkin. (must be 100% cotton content and pre-washed).
