Description
Nature & Wonder: Watercolour Workshop
Slow down and reconnect with the beauty around you.
Join us at Mary MacKillop Place as we explore and reflect on the wonders of nature during this 2 hour workshop.
Inspired by the lives and values of Mary MacKillop and Fr Julian Tenison Woods, whose lives and work reflected resilience, simplicity, and a deep appreciation for the natural world, this session invites you to pause, observe, and create.
Lead by Sydney artist, Rachel Carroll, this workshop is a relaxed, guided session where you will not only learn creative skills in Watercolour art but will explore it through the natural world.
In this workshop, you will:
Explore basic watercolour techniques (wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry)
Observe and represent simple elements from nature
Use painting as a way to reflect, express calmness, simplicity, and attention to detail
This is a beginner friendly workshop. No prior experience is needed (suitable for all still levels) this workshop is suitable for all skill levels.
All materials are provided, along with a relaxed morning tea to enjoy together.
