Nature art walk and workshop
Description
Come for the nature connection, stay for the creativity, and leave with your own collection of nature-inspired prints.
We start with a guided nature connection walk to slow down, shift your attention and notice the small details of the world around you.
Nature and forest therapy guide Sarah Murray will invite you to explore the colours, shapes, textures of the natural environment, taking time to observe and reflect.
Then bring those observations back inside as inspiration for a hands-on nature art session.
Local artist Gabrielle McKinnon will introduce you to gelatine printing techniques using a combination of collected and provided natural materials.
Experiment with leaves, grasses, flowers and other textures to create layered prints, playing with colour, shape, pattern and the unexpected marks that emerge through the process.
No previous art experience is needed.
This is an opportunity to explore, experiment and see familiar natural materials in a different way — there’s no pressure to create a perfect print.
