Nature-Based Early Years in Ireland

"No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced."
— Sir David Attenborough

How do we help young children develop a love of nature while growing up in Ireland's ever-changing weather?

Join Dr Sharon Skehill, Early Years Educator, Researcher and Nature Pedagogy Specialist, for a practical session exploring how children can learn in nature and through nature—all year round.

Drawing on the approach used in a nature-based preschool, where children spend most of their day outdoors, Sharon will share simple ideas, everyday practices and practical tips for encouraging outdoor play and fostering a lifelong connection with the natural world.
