Nature Conservation Council of NSW Annual Conference 2026

Join us in the heart of Sydney for the Nature Conservation Council of NSW’s Annual Conference.
We are excited to announce this year's theme: Nature 2026: The State of Play.
We'll gather at Customs House, Circular Quay to connect, reflect and look ahead. The day will include:
Morning: Introductory speeches and consideration of motions
Afternoon: Inspiring speakers, campaign updates and practical workshops. This will include a thought-provoking plenary panel covering emerging issues like data centres, energy efficiency for renters, and Treaty in NSW.
Evening: Networking drinks and post-conference dinner
Throughout the day: Opportunities to meet, learn, and network with environmental leaders, organisers, and community members from across NSW
You can choose to attend for the full day (including the formal proceedings in the morning) or half day (if you’d like to join for the speakers and workshops in the afternoon only). Ticket price includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Stay tuned for the full program.
When: Saturday 31 October, 2026
Time: 9am - 5pm. Formal proceedings from 9-11.45am and conference speakers and workshops starting after 11.45am. Regular breaks and food provided.
Where: Customs House, 31 Alfred Street Sydney NSW 2000, and online
Accessibility: Our venue is accessible by wheelchair with lift access from the front entrance on Alfred Street. There are quiet spaces available. Please reach out to our Operations team via ncc@nature.org.au if you have any questions or accessibility requirements, and we will work with you to accommodate.
NCC is proud to offer free attendance to First Nations people and those under 25.
Formal Proceedings:
NCC will conduct formal business and pass motions from 9-11.45am before conference speakers and workshops.
If you are a voting delegate, or observing the formal proceedings we ask you to please arrive at 8:30am for a 9am start.
