Nature Dough Kids Workshop 2026

Nature Dough is just the activity you 'knead' for children!

In this fun and hands-on workshop, children will make their own 'nature dough' incorporating the colours, scents and textures of plants.

This is a sensory rich experience for children to observe and celebrate plants in their creations, with the rare opportunity to use plants from the Botanic Gardens.

Children can take their own dough home for further sensory play or use moulds to create ornaments.

There is an outdoor component to this workshop so please dress accordingly to the weather conditions on the day.

Nature-based wellbeing at the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium are unforgettable experiences for the soul and senses, and will equip you with life-long skills to nourish your wellbeing and relationship with nature.
