Nature in the City: A Guided Tour of The Joinery
Event description
Come along to a guided tour of The Joinery, our community environment centre and urban oasis in the heart of the city!
The Joinery community is connected by a love for nature and sustainable living, and a desire to lead positive change. It's here that you can feel an inspiring connection to nature and the community in an urban environment.
This guided tour will walk you through the centre and surrounding areas, introducing you to the Adelaide Sustainability Centre, Common Ground Community Garden, solar demonstration site, up-cycled furniture, green roof and other sustainability displays (rain garden, water tank, wicking beds, compost & worm farm systems, urban bee hive, wildlife friendly garden design, water sensitive urban design), murals and more.
Find out more about this environmental hub, its projects and opportunities to get involved.
The Simply Sarj cafe will also be open to cater to your food and beverage needs (not included with ticket) whilst you're here on the day.
