Nature Journalling 2025
Event description
On holidays &Â especially during the Christmas season - have you ever longed for some quiet reflection ? Is it possible to take some time out for yourself just to be creative ?
Nature journalling is a practice of drawing & writing about your observations of and in nature. You don't need to be an artist or writer. What is much more important is that you observe closely and are curious.
The practice slows you down, increases your mindfulness (clears your mental clutter), increases your attention to detail and ramps up your appreciation of beauty. You can be as arty, as basic or as scientific as you like ! There's no right or wrong way.Â
You will need to complete one of these Introductory Workshops BEFORE doing any future classes.
Numbers will be kept low to create an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.
We are going to be at the lovely Wooloweyah Hall, right beside Yuraygir National Park. We'll be taking a tiny wander in the coastal health at the start of each class. Please wear appropriate sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat and comfortable clothing.
Classes will be indoors, but you can bring any nature items with you (example garden flowers, shells, sticks, leaves, etc). We will supply an abundance of natural items for inspiration.Â
All drawing supplies, etc will be provided. Who is invited ? We are catering mostly to women and over the age of about 16.
