Event description

Slow down and open your eyes to the wonders of the natural world through nature journaling. Observing the world around you using different senses is a great way to connect with nature and nurture your health. Join environmental educator Mel Treweek and science communicator Jordan Charters from Whitehorse City Council to learn the basics of nature journaling before stepping outside and putting your new skills into action.

What to bring:
Please bring along a notebook, journal or visual art diary to draw, paint and/or write your observations in. Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you might want.
Watercolour paints, pens and pencils will be provided.

What to wear:
Please dress for the weather, as part of this workshop will be outdoors. We recommend wearing closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty, and bringing a hat.

Where to meet:
We will begin the workshop at the Blackburn Lake Sanctuary Visitor Centre at 10am.

Accessibility:
Part of this workshop will take place outdoors, and will involve walking a short distance on a gravel path before sitting on the ground to journal.

If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket via Humanitix or email greenercity@whitehorse.vic.gov.au to let us know, so we can make your ticket available to someone else.
