APOLOGIES, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW NUMBERS
Nature Journaling: the nature of home, is a workshop about slowing down, increasing mindfulness, and appreciating the beauty and intricacy of nature. Participants will be guided by naturalist and artist Jenny Deans in the practice of nature journalling. Nature journaling techniques will help you experience the nature of your home and neighbourhood in a different way. We’ll be journaling outside for the workshop at Kensington Gardens Reserve unless the weather is unsuitable, in which case we’ll journal inside at the comfortable and welcoming Hills Environment Centre at beautiful NORTON SUMMIT. All journaling materials are supplied including a hardcopy of the following booklet by Paula Peeters, ecologist and nature journaler: https://www.paperbarkwriter.com/want-to-get-started-with-nature-journaling-this-little-guidebook-will-show-you-how/
Children to be accompanied by a participating adult. This is an engaging workshop for children (suits 8 years old and over) and adults alike. There will be some walking in a potentially sunny and windy area, so wear weather-suitable clothes and footwear.
If it looks like we will have to change to the HEC indoor location, we will contact you via email the day before so please do check your inbox. The Hills Environment Centre is located at 4 Crescent Dr, Norton Summit, opposite the Scenic Hotel.
