Event description
Nature Mindfulness
Join us for an immersive, nature-based experience designed to gently slow us down, deepen our breath, reconnect us with ourselves, each other, and the living world surrounding us.
Guided by an experienced ecopsychologist, gentle sessions offer simple yet powerful practices that invite presence, creativity, and belonging through nature connection, sensory mindfulness, nature journaling, eco-art, and reflection. and foster nourishing community relationships. When practised in a supportive group, benefits may be amplified building community resilience, trust, and connection.
Each session begins with simple guidelines to help you cross a threshold of stepping into an imaginal space of presence and possibility. These practices and techniques can be incorporated and repeated, even amidst the busyness of city living.
Spending time in Nature is proven to reduce stress hormones, lift mood, and improve our overall sense of well-being. Greensong applied ecopsychology practices are exploratory, immersive, nurturing experiences designed to help participants calm the nervous system, restore inner balance, and foster a strong sense of place and belonging.
A large body of scientific research spanning decades notes the benefits nature has on our health and wellbeing, including:
- Calming the nervous system, reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and mental fatigue
- Reconnecting with a sense of place and purpose
- Cultivating mindfulness and emotional resilience
- Feeling renewed, grounded, and more connected
Greensong Nature Mindfulness ecotherapy sessions are part of SOS, an eco-resilience project. In times of rapid change and uncertainty, developing personal and community resilience and emotional regulation is essential. When we feel grounded, supported, and resourced, we’re better equipped to respond to challenges and care for Country and community.
