Nature Nurtures - A Wellbeing Play Session
Event description
As part of Te Ao Earth Week 2025, Terra Nova Foundation and Tree Children bring you a hands-on workshop combining science, creativity, and nature play. Tamariki and their whānau will explore the science of buoyancy by building and testing their own mini boats, then make a nature-inspired craft to take home.
This one-hour session encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and imagination through fun, practical activities. Suitable for children aged 5-10 years, with parents welcome to join in. All materials are provided.
Tree Children is on a mission to spark curiosity, grow minds, and inspire kids to explore nature and science, connecting more deeply with the world around them!
In order to ensure this event is kept accessible to all, tickets pricing is koha-based. All proceeds go back to supporting environmental and community support programmes.
Te Ao Earth Week is a week of celebration of those who are taking action to create the future our planet needs and shift human behaviour to align with environmental and community wellbeing. We invite you to join us on November 7th, with a series of activities to restore your wellbeing through moments that deepen our connection to Papatūānuku & ourselves. A full activity agenda can be found on our event website.
