Nature Play - Imagine Your Own Nature Playground

If you could create your own nature playground, what would it look like? 

Join Greater Sydney Parklands’ education rangers for two hours of exploring, imagining, creating and playing in Moore Park South. 

We’ll start with an exploratory walk through the park, looking closely at the space and seeing what sparks our curiosity. We will be creating stories together before getting hands-on – building, creating, experimenting and finding our own ways to play. 

And while the kids are busy playing, we’ll be listening and learning too. We’re getting ready to create our first pop-up nature play space at Moore Park South, and the ideas children explore during these sessions will help us shape what it could become. 

There’s no need to arrive with a big idea or a design, just come ready to explore, imagine, build and play. 

• Morning sessions 5-8 years

• Afternoon sessions 9-15 years 

Things to know before you attend 

Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times. 

Please come prepared, as this program will go ahead in all-weather unless it is unsafe to do so (for example, during high winds or thunderstorms). Children must wear enclosed shoes.  

We reserve the right to cancel the event in case of dangerous weather or if minimum participation numbers are not met. In these circumstances a refund will be offered. Please refer to our full terms and conditions for more information. 

What to bring to the event 

Ensure you are prepared for this session by bringing: 

• Enclosed & comfortable shoes

• Full water bottle and a snack

• Waterproof clothing in case of wet conditions, the program runs rain or shine.

Your responsibilities if you feel unwell 

I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that all attendees associated with this booking do not attend if: 

• We/I show any COVID-19, infectious disease or virus symptoms or feel unwell 

• We/I have had a fever, diarrhoea or vomiting within 12 hours or at the time of the program 

• We/I have been asked to self-isolate 

• We/I have had a positive COVID-19 test result and continue to have symptoms. 

If any of the above apply to you or any attendee associated with this booking, we request that you do not attend this program.
