This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Nature printing is a way to capture the beauty and detail of natural specimens – feathers, grasses, leaves and more – on paper. Join Rhyll Plant – well-known Castlemaine printmaker – for this creative and engaging one-day workshop - a repeat of the workshop on 30 April.

With the printing press and hand pressure, you will explore techniques unique to this workshop, creating your own suite of original artworks using specimens from the natural world.

Rhyll works from her Speargrass Studio in Castlemaine, where she combines her printmaking with illustrating for the Museum Victoria’s scientific publications.

Rhyll says: Countless hours of joyful experimenting has built my skills and confidence to the point of sharing my nature printing techniques. Illustration, science and humour inspire her imagery.

Workshop materials will be provided: papers, inks and a range of pre-prepared natural objects such as leaves, grasses, feathers. Materials fee of $20 to be paid at the workshop.
