Event description

Feel the earth beneath your feet and unveil the true magic of our home and its boundless potential above and below the surface.

Embark on an enchanting farm, walk through nature, and food gardens, and witness the vital role of animals, including our sheep and pigs, in nurturing biodiversity and soil health.

Learn about beaver dams, returning fungi, the messages of weeds, and low-tech permaculture solutions, and experience the tangible results of adaptive farming, water retention techniques, and permaculture practices promoting soil growth and sustainability.

Engage in a thought-provoking presentation and a friendly fireside chat led by Stephen and Peta, the custodians of Jetty Farm, as they share lessons of their journey, and wisdom from mentors like Zach Weiss, Geoff Lawton, Dick Richardson, and Jean-Martin Fortier. Discover the transformative power of natural farming principles and connect with the wholeness of their home.

The children can explore the nature playground, discover fairy doors, interact with friendly farm animals, and plant some farm-gathered flower and vegetable seeds as a reminder of the great day on the farm.

Gather around the fireside, indulge in a handmade morning tea, a light lunch of soup and sourdough, and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts. This event is perfect for small-acreage owners, those seeking a deeper connection with nature, or anyone who’s curious about ways to meaningfully nurture the land, the home on which we live.

Go home feeling good!
