    Event description

    Overview 

    Join Kayte (she/her) in an immersive nature experience where you will have the chance to connect with nature and remind yourself about its benefits for your wellbeing. 


    What to expect

    • During the session Kayte will facilitate safe spaces in nature using guided activities to deepen your experience of the therapeutic power of nature, learning skills you can apply to your daily life. 
    • There will be opportunities for reflection however this can be a completely personal experience, without any need for interaction with anyone else. Come as you are, nature can hold you.
    • Sessions will be held monthly, on the first Saturday of each month.


    Location

    • The session will be held outside, in a park in Brunswick/ Brunswick East. The exact location will be emailed upon registration.
    • The park is small and out of the way, however someone from Transgender Victoria will be present to help ensure the safety of all participants. 

    Refundable deposit

    • There is a $15 deposit that will be refunded once participants have attended the session.
    • If your committed coming to the session and the cost is a barrier, please email us on the email below.
    • As long as you either attend the session or cancel more than 2 days in advance, you will be refunded this cost. If you do not cancel with at least two day's notice, or you do not show up, you will be charged the $15.

    About the facilitator 

    Kayte (she/her) is a qualified teacher, counsellor, horticulturalist and self confessed wanderer. She has over 25 years of experience working with people of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings including schools and community settings and works almost exclusively outside. Kayte works part time as a Garden Therapist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne as well as seeing clients for nature therapy through her private practice Admirari Nature Therapy. She is passionate about helping people reconnect with nature and discover the healing, teaching and well being benefits that it can offer.
