Nature Walk + Workshop: Slow Walk, Picnic + Nature Journalling | Blue Mountains
Description
Join us for a half-day guided nature walk and nature journalling workshop at Fairy Falls in Lawson. This is a slow, immersive, creative morning on Darug and Gundungurra Country (Blue Mountains).
Led by ecologist & ConserVentures founder, Jada Andersen, we'll start with a guided walk into a fern-lined gully and explore a hanging swamp ecosystem. Then we'll enjoy a catered picnic, followed by a nature journalling workshop where you'll learn simple ways to observe, sketch and write about the natural world. No art experience needed.
🥾 What To Expect
Walk length & difficulty: Approx. 2 km return. The walk is short but steep, so expect it to feel more like a short hike, with steps, uneven ground and a solid climb back out. A moderate level of fitness is recommended.
Scenery: Blue Mountains waterfalls, ferny gullies and hanging swamps.
The highlight: Turning what you noticed on the walk into your own journal pages.
