When we tug at a single thing in nature, we find it attached to the rest of the world – John Muir

This nature writing workshop explores techniques for bringing landscapes, flora and fauna to life, including: evocative description, engaging emotion, and the power of story. You’ll also consider the challenges of writing about the natural world in a time of escalating environmental crisis. Through a combination of instruction, examples and practical writing exercises, you’ll come away with a stronger understanding of nature writing – and a practical toolkit for sharing your love of nature on the page.

Inga Simpson is the award-winning author of ten books, including The Thinning, Willowman, Mr Wigg and Understory: a life with Trees.
