Navarātri Yoga of Sound Retreat with Geeti & Gyan - Kenthurst NSW
Description
Join Geeti & Gyan for a transformative, uplifting, and heart-expanding celebration of Navarātri festival, with kīrtan, movement meditation to live music, mantra, āsana, and sound healing at Swami’s, a bushland haven in Sydney’s hinterland.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to bathe in the especially potent energies of the divine feminine at this time, to reflect on what has been, to let go, give thanks, to dream into what is next, to share, connect and celebrate with community on a soul level.
Celebrated for centuries in India, Navarātri spans ten days to help transform, nourish and cultivate the life-affirming qualities of courage, compassion and creativity.
This will be a unique journey experience of Navarātri, as we gather online on the first then fourth day of Navarātri to initiate the process of mantra practice and reflection, then come together in person for the final four days of the festival at Swami’s Retreat centre.
The in-person retreat experience will be a beautiful way to really explore, embody and express the qualities of the divine feminine within us, and gain insight into how they connect to our lives.
The final four days coincide with the archetypal energies of Sarasvatī - creativity, wisdom, music and flow, and conclude with Vijayadaśamī (Victory Day), celebrating how far we have come on our journey of transformation from darkness to light, and what has awakened and integrated within us.
This is an auspicious opportunity to open our voices and uplift our hearts with kīrtan, rejuvenate our bodies with movement and sound healing, inspire our minds with insights and sharings, ignite our souls by connecting to our dreams and life purpose, and nurture our spirit with sacred sound and silence.
We look forward to singing, dancing and connecting with you!
“I returned home feeling totally uplifted. I loved every minute.” Sue

Their sound
Their original East–West conscious music weaves traditional and contemporary kīrtan with mantra, devotional heart songs and English lyrical expression.
Their live soundscapes feature vocals, harmonium, guitar, piano, cajón, manjira, flute, handpan, and crystal and Tibetan bowls — creating a rich field for both celebration and deep rest.
“I can't recommend Geeti & Gyan's work highly enough. It's heartfelt, authentic and grounding. Each time they play my nervous system relaxes, letting go of stress, worries, etc... in a word, healing.” Aoife
The spirit of Navarātri
Navarātri is an ancient Indian ten-day festival honouring the Divine Feminine through three universal, archetypal energies:
Durgā — courage, release and transformation
Lakṣmī — nourishment, love and devotion
Saraswatī — flow, creativity and wisdom
Our Navarātri journey
We begin together during Navarātri with two online Zoom sessions:
Durgā — online meeting on 11 October for an overview of Navarātri, Durgā mantra practice, Q & A and connection time
Lakṣmī — online meeting on 14 October for reflection time and journalling, Lakṣmī mantra practice and connection time
You arrive already in process — tuned into the unfolding energies.
The in person retreat takes place in the final days of Navarātri, when Saraswatī energy is prevalent — supporting clarity, creativity, and expression.
We close on day ten, Vijayadaśamī (Victory Day), celebrating how far we’ve all come on our journey and what may have awakened and integrated within us on the retreat.
