Navigating Conflict – Session 3: Forgiveness: What is it and How Can I?
Event description
Session 3. Forgiveness - What is it and How Can I?
January 14, 2025 in the Welborn Community Room at 11:15 AM
Without a commitment to forgive, we’ll never be able to work through difficult conversations in a way that leaves our relationships stronger on the back end. If our relationships are going to be as deep and satisfying as we wish them to be, forgiveness is an art that we must learn. And yet, few people have the resources and the tools to forgive others fully and move on with their lives.
To forgive someone “from the heart,” as Jesus puts it, is one of the hardest things God asks us to do. But if we do not forgive, if we hold onto our hurts and grievances, resentment can consume our lives and steal our joy.
In this seminar we will look step-by-step at what forgiveness is, why it so often gets short-circuited, and we’ll take up the most common questions/objections surrounding forgiveness.
