Navigating Sustainability 2025: In search of Australia's Blue Zones
Event description
Join us for an open forum to challenge your thinking, open new possibilities and connect with leaders
03 We made a Blue Zone - Come visit, stay for lunch!
Let’s see what a connected, resilient and healthy community looks like, to live and work. Let’s discover how the emerging discipline of lonelygenics can help combat loneliness and isolation.
Ever wondered if those magical Blue Zones really exist – where people often live to 100, eat well, have good exercise and a happy social life? How good it would be to live there?
Maybe it’s not all about the food and exercise.
As The Economist last year found residents of a Spanish village that looked set to be declared one of the world's special Blue Zones did not always eat the best food, and probably drank a little too much. What may be more significant is that it was mostly together with their friends and neighbours. An active social life may turn out to be the magic ingredient.
At this next session of Navigating Sustainability we invite three leaders in the field to share their work and their thinking.
