Navigating the Healthcare System
This seminar is for anyone who wants to understand what the healthcare system looks like today and how the different pieces work and collaborate. During this seminar, you’ll hear from different parts of the healthcare system on how they work, who the key stakeholders are, what the procurement and decision making process looks like, and what it takes to succeed.
- What different components make up the NSW and Australian health system and the role and structure of these.
- Key terminology to understand
- Who is involved in funding healthcare innovations
- Quality, safety, infrastructure, and the workforce in health.
- How to find the key decision makers and navigate the procurement processes and purchasing behaviours for key health stakeholders for in-hospital and out-of-hospital public services, the private system, the primary healthcare system (general practitioners), allied health, aged care, and the NDIS.
This seminar is free and open to NSW residents.
Non-NSW residents may attend online or in person for a fee.
