Navigating the Mental Health system

Who is this for?

This training is for anyone who would like to get the right kind of mental health support for themselves or their loved ones. The mental health system can be a difficult one to navigate, especially if you or a loved one are in crisis. This training will assist with the language and de-mystify the steps needed to get the most appropriate support. This would be helpful for cares, parents and individuals supporting someone with mental health challenges.

Learning Outcomes

• The differences between the types of supports available for adults and children experiencing mental health issues.

• Identify what supports are available in the Wingecarribee for children and adults requiring mental health support.

• Identify what supports are available for those caring for someone with mental health needs.

• Identify how to access mental health support, including free and online services.
