Description
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and knowing how to respond can make a real difference. Join NCRLN for this accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course and gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to recognise when someone may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, provide initial support, and connect them with appropriate professional help.
Delivered in Grafton over two full days, this practical and engaging training covers common mental health problems, crisis situations, barriers to seeking help, and evidence-based strategies for supporting others while maintaining your own wellbeing. Participants will learn how to identify warning signs, start supportive conversations, and respond appropriately in a range of situations.
This course is suitable for Landcare staff and volunteers to build their confidence in supporting mental health and wellbeing in their workplace, community or personal life.
Upon successful completion of the training and a short online assessment, participants will receive a Mental Health First Aid Australia Certificate of Accreditation, valid for three years.
