NDIS Review Town Hall Event - Hobart

You are invited to a Town Hall event on the NDIS Review.

Members of the NDIS Review Panel will discuss the blueprint to build a better disability support system and this is also an opportunity to engage with the Panel and ask your questions live by submitting them into an online platform.

  • NDIS Review Panel Co-chairs & Panel members 
  • Closing remarks from the Hon. Bill Shorten MP Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme

This is a hybrid event so you can join us in person at the Hobart Town Hall, Macquarie Street, or watch live online. Choose the relevant ticket option to suit your personal circumstance.

Accessibility:

Wheelchair - The venue is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilets on the same level as the event. There is ramp access at the front of Town Hall at the Macquarie Street entrance. 

The Hobart Town Hall Ballroom on Level 1 is accessible to wheelchair users via lift on the ground floor, located to the right of the staircase. The lift is also accessible via the rear carpark and requires interaction with an intercom to gain access. This carpark is accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here.

Accessible bathrooms are available on Ground Floor and Level 1 of the Hobart Town Hall.

Auslan - We will have an Auslan interpreter available for those in person and online.

Closed captioning - Will be available online and in person.

Hearing Loop - Will be available for those attending in person.

Low sensory space - Will be available for those attending in person.

Assistance animals – A watering station will be available.

Parking - A car park behind the Hobart Town Hall is available for drop offs, accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here. 2 accessible parking spaces are available in the Hobart Town Hall carpark, accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here. Additional paid parking nearby can be found at the Dunn Place Car Park and Argyle Street Car Park

Public Transport - Is available to and from the event. The venue is located adjacent to various bus stops, utilise the Metro Tasmania Journey Planner to plan your trip.
