Ned Collette returns to Australia to launch his new album ‘Mixed Light', out on It Records. He will be performing an intimate set at Martians, joined by Leah Senior who's vocals have featured on his latest records.

Collette has long established himself as a songwriter whose literate, evocative songs are paired with music that's both adventurous and eclectic. His albums exist inside a dynamic flux of folk, jazz and avant rock, and his songwriting, combined with his early background in improvised and experimental music, has resulted in eight albums of uncompromising vision, released on a variety of international labels. These are produced mostly out of his studio in Berlin, where he has been based since 2010. He has collaborated and shared stages with artists such as Bonnie Prince Billy (who sings on the new album), Cat Power, Bill Callahan, Joanna Newsom, Kurt Vile, and Deerhoof, and appeared at festivals throughout Europe, Australasia, Japan, South America and the USA.

Leah Senior and Zoë Fox will open the night with their exciting new collaborative project CCINO.
