Effective negotiation is one of the most important skills in consensual BDSM. Whether you're exploring pick-up play at community events, developing ongoing dynamics, or simply learning more about yourself, clear communication lays the foundation for safety, trust, and mutual enjoyment.

In this workshop, participants learn how to identify their interests, boundaries, and risk tolerances, communicate them effectively with partners, and navigate the negotiation process before play. We'll discuss practical tools for talking about desires and limits, establishing communication during a scene, and planning for aftercare.

At its core, negotiation answers four essential questions:

What do we want to do?
What don't we want to do?
How will we communicate during the scene?
What happens afterward?

Participants will leave with a framework they can adapt to their own relationships and play styles, recognizing that every negotiation can end with a scene, a modified scene, or no scene at all—and all are valid outcomes.
