How might our streets look as temperatures rise with Climate Change? How might they look with a projected 82 per cent increase in people living in the Adelaide CBD by 2041?

Walk down part of Sturt and Wright streets on SATURDAY 25 MARCH.

This walk is organised by South West City Community Association Inc. (SWCCA) and supported by the South East City Residents' Association (SECRA) and the City of Adelaide.

Your host for this walk is Marjon Martin. Leading the walk is Dr Helen Donovan and we will be joined by Area Councillor Janet Giles.

Helen has a long-term interest in creating and maintaining a healthy city and healthy people. Working in health promotion and as CEO of Walking SA and former Councillor of South Ward in the City of Adelaide she is an advocate for sharing the streets, active transport and knowledgeable about many facets of reducing heat island effects, impacts of higher temperatures on trees, plants and people

Meet outside The Kings Head Hotel, 357 Sturt Street, (at the corner of King William and Sturt Streets) at 9.50am so you are ready to start the walk when it commences at 10.00am. The distance of the walk is approximately 3kms on footpaths. We will zig zag between the two main streets and the walk will conclude at 11.30am and all are welcome to continue the conversation at Erb 'n' Flo 153 Sturt Street Adelaide over a complimentary cup of coffee.

Registration is essential. If you are registering for more than one person, you must enter the name of each attendee.  Otherwise we'll assume you have accidentally double-booked. Maximum number for the walk is 20.
