Step into a world of glowing curiosity and playful creativity with Neon Squiggles- a one-hour hands-on session designed especially for individuals or couples. Guided by a professional neon teaching artist, you'll learn how to bend glowing glass into playful, abstract shapes - your very own neon squiggles.
Your creations will come to life - filled with noble gases, sealed with cathodes, and illuminated through the mesmerizing process of bombarding. It's a session full of whimsy, wonder, and the joy of discovering something entirely new. Each booking makes two unique neon squiggles, complete with transformers and clip-on brackets, ready to light up your space.
When you're done, take your sense of awe and head straight to Canberra’s Enlighten Festival, where the city shines in a spectacular celebration of art, light, and imagination. Note: Your neon squiggles will be ready for collection from the following Wednesday, March 11. Postage is not available due to the delicate nature of the works.

Parking:There’s plenty of open‑air paid parking nearby. Turn off Wentworth Ave into Eastlake Parade for the main carpark. Accessible parking spots are available near the venue entrance and in the nearby free car park off Eastlake Parade (close to the Fyshwick side).

Step‑free entry on ground floor with paved pathways and automatic doors. A lift is available to reach the Hotshop level, where the workshop is taking place. Facilities Accessible toilets on the ground floor; extra accessible toilets are nearby at Bowen Park. Some areas may require additional support due to the heritage building layout — visitors with mobility needs are encouraged to contact the venue ahead of time. Assistance animals are welcome; other pets are not permitted inside. Visitors with specific access requirements (e.g., tours or workshops) should let the team know when booking so adjustments can be made.

Canberra Glassworks is a working glassmaking facility — there may be noise, heat, and equipment in use. Visitors should stay within designated gallery/viewing areas unless part of a supervised class or tour.
- Workshop & Class Safety
For classes and tours, closed‑toe shoes, non‑synthetic clothing, and tied‑back hair are required. Safety protocols and PPE (eye/ear/heat protection) are enforced; participants not complying may be asked to leave. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited before or during activities.
