In Remembrance, In Hope — A Gathering for Nepal Saturday, 12 September | 5:00pm – 7:00pm | Harold Park Community Centre Free entry
On 26 August, a glacier collapse in the Himalayas set off flash floods that tore through communities along Nepal's Trishuli River. Over 1 thousand lives have been lost. Families are still searching for the missing. Entire villages have lost their homes.
We gather at Harold Park to hold space for what has happened together as a community. In remembrance of those who have lost their lives, those who have lost their families, and those who are still living in the aftermath of this disaster.
Through remembrance, heart-centred sound healing, kirtan and prayer, we create a space for healing — and then turn that compassion into practical support for those affected in Nepal.
Free entry. Voluntary donations support Nepal flood relief.
This is a gathering built on compassion and solidarity, open to anyone who wishes to stand with Nepal in this moment. For those who wish to contribute further, there will be an opportunity for voluntary donations on the evening, supporting the Divine Breath Foundation's Nepal Relief Fund.
Members of our community intend to travel to the affected areas following the event, to help carry what is raised directly to those who need it.
Come as you are. Come to remember, and to hold hope for what comes next.
