Event description

Get your nerd on and join us as Dr Michael Harre from the University of Sydney hosts a short presentation and Q&A on Artificial Intelligence in Society: Exploring the Social Gap Between Humans and Machines.

Can an artificial intelligence (AI) engage with us just as easily as we engage with each other? Human interactions are intricate and intuitive, a smooth and dynamic process that happens moment by moment without much thought. In contrast, our interactions with AI can sometimes feel cumbersome and unnatural.

In this talk, we delve into cutting-edge research that explores the frontiers of social AI. We'll look at how insights from psychology and neuroscience are helping shape the evolution of AI, and ultimately, transforming the way we interact with machines. Discover how these advancements are pushing the boundaries of AI, moving us closer to a future where machines engage with us in a more human-like way.

This event is free to attend, but registration is required. You’ll receive one free drink (beer, wine or soft drink) upon entry.
