Nerd Nite is a monthly event held in 100+ cities around the world featuring fun-yet-informative presentations across a variety of subjects.

Featuring:

- What’s it like being a Federal Scientist in 2025? (Jared Rennie, Private Citizen™ who is definitely not acting as a NOAA research meteorologist for this presentation) 

- Understanding Friction Through the Eyes of a Fastener (George Avery, mechanical engineer for the Department of the Navy and cycling enthusiast)

- Exploliting Logical Fallacies to Make Anyone Believe Anything (Ashley Allen, literacy advocate and Co-Executive Director of local nonprofit Read 2 Succeed)
