Patrick Mundus Presents:

The Remarkable Natural Wildlife Refuges Of Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay is lucky to have three national wildlife refuges right out our back door. These are islands set aside for wildlife (birds, turtles, tortoises, etc.) that are of national significance. Learn about the wildlife that depends on these refuges, and how they could use your support.

Patrick Mundus is a long time wildlife advocate/bird/plant nerd that has been volunteering on the refuges since 2016. He is a board member of Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges, which supports the mission of the national wildlife refuge system.

Walt Belcher Presents:

Confessions of a Newspaper Reporter

From working on a college newspaper to 35 years as a reporter with The Tampa Tribune, Walt Belcher has told other people’s stories most of his life. Now he tells his own true tales of amusing encounters: Did he stare at Dolly Parton’s breasts? How did a chimp get him on the “Today” show? And why was he sweating over an undercover assignment at a full body shampoo spa?

A former columnist for The Tampa Tribune, Walt Belcher now tell stories at festivals, liars' contests, and open mics, as well as hosting an open mic himself in Safety Harbor. He is on the board of the Florida Storytelling Association and author of "Scallywag of the Scrubs," a book of Florida cowboy poetry. He has been a featured storyteller at libraries, festivals and liars’ contests throughout the South. And he will be a featured teller at the upcoming Suncoast Storytelling Festival on Nov. 1 at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg campus.
