    FAQs

    What animals will we see?

We are a true wildlife sanctuary so all animals within the Sanctuary are wild and free to move around; as such, we can not guarantee that you will see any wildlife. That said, the Sanctuary has had over 149 bird species spotted within its fences. See a full list of species here.

    How much walking is there?

This experience includes a 1min tour with lots of stopping to spot birds! Our guides will adjust the distance covered based on the ability of your group. Please let us know if walking long distances is difficult for you.

What do I need to bring?

Please dress appropriately for the weather (eg. appropriate footwear - no thongs or heels).

    Do I need a binoculars?

You can bring your own fancy binoculars if you have them. We will have binoculars that you can borrow.

    What happens if it rains?

Wildlife don't mind a little bit of rain, so the event will go ahead even if light showers are expected. We may cancel in the event of extreme weather conditions (eg. high winds or heavy rainfall); but we will contact you directly if this occurs.

How can I get in touch with any questions?

If you have any questions, please contact us on (03) 9479 1206 or wildlife@latrobe.edu.au
