📢 Important Update: Change of Topic for Sunday’s ND Artist Meetup 📢

In light of the recent announcement regarding the closure of Creative Scotland’s Open Fund for Individuals, we’ve decided to change the focus of our ND Artist Meetup this Sunday. We understand that this news has deeply affected many in our community, and it doesn’t feel right to carry on with our planned topic of "Inspirations and Influences."

Instead, we want to provide a space where we can come together to vent, grieve, and express solidarity with one another. We also recognise that some artists might need a space to focus on joy and positivity during these tough times. With that in mind, here’s how the meetup will be structured:

🕕 Extended Meeting Time: 6:00 - 7:30pm (instead of 6:00 - 7:15pm)

First 45 Minutes: We’ll hold space for artists to discuss the recent decision and its impact on them. This will be a time to share feelings, frustrations, and concerns.

15 Minute Break: A chance to stretch, grab a drink, and take a breather.

Final 30 Minutes: We’ll shift the focus to positivity. Artists are invited to share something that brings them joy, whether it’s their work, sources of inspiration, or anything uplifting they’d like to share.

Artists are welcome to come for either or both parts of the meet-up.  We will try very hard to stick to these timings to ensure people are able to come for the part(s) that feel right to them.  

We hope this format provides a balanced space where everyone’s needs can be met. Whether you need to vent or find a moment of joy, we can be here for each other.
