Neuk presents: Facilitation 101: Planning and Leading Inclusive Workshops with Elspeth Wilson
Event description
A special workshop for Neuk members!
Want to run a workshop but unsure where to start? Already facilitating but keen to build confidence and skills? This practical session with writer and experienced facilitator Elspeth Wilson will help you shape inclusive, accessible, and well-planned workshops—whether you’re working solo or with organisational support.
We’ll cover:
Different facilitation styles and how to find yours
Planning your time and managing group dynamics
Running accessible sessions (even on a shoestring)
Balancing different needs in a group
Looking after yourself as a facilitator, including thinking about your own access needs
What you need to know about public liability insurance
Choosing platforms and promoting your workshop
You’ll also get a chance to reflect on what matters to you in a workshop space, ask questions, and (if you like) connect with others in a short group exercise.
This session can be experienced as a stand-alone workshop, or in conjunction with Daisy Dawson's workshop on the 24th of June.
Who it’s for:
This workshop is open to any Neuk Collective member interested in facilitating inclusive workshops—whether you're new to it or looking to develop your practice further.
