Neuk Presents: How to Write an Access Rider
Description
How to Write an Access Rider
Free online workshop for disabled creatives across the UK
Join Amy Milner and Tzipporah Johnston from Neuk Collective for a practical, supportive workshop exploring how to write your own Access Rider.
Access Riders are documents that help communicate your access needs when working with organisations, venues, collaborators, funders, or employers. They can be a useful tool for setting expectations, advocating for support, and creating more accessible ways of working.
This interactive 2-hour session will guide participants through the process of thinking about their needs and beginning to shape an Access Rider that feels useful, personal, and workable for them. We’ll explore what an Access Rider can include, different ways people structure them, and how to approach conversations around access with confidence.
Note: The workshop will include a 15-minute break in the middle.
After the session, participants will receive:
a workbook to support them in continuing to write or develop their Access Rider
example Access Riders
a collection of helpful links and resources
The workshop is free and open to disabled creatives across the UK.
