Event description

Poetry in Motion: Films by Neurodivergent Poets

📅 Wednesday 29th January

⏰ Doors open 6:45 PM, Screening 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

📍 at GMAC Film, Fifth Floor, Trongate 103, Glasgow G1 5HD

Join us for an evening celebrating the creativity of neurodivergent poets and filmmakers.

We’ll screen a series of short poetry films, showcasing the words and worlds of neurodivergent artists. Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion featuring three of the poets and filmmakers behind the works.

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience powerful storytelling and gain insight into the creative processes of neurodivergent artists.

Everyone is welcome!

Free tickets are available but if you would like to donate to help us cover the cost of the screening, we would be very grateful.

Access for visitors:

Ear defenders and stim toys will be available, and we can reserve seats by the door if you need to slip out. If you have any access needs, please get in touch at neuk@doorinthewall.co.uk or add them to your booking

Access for wheelchair users at GMAC:

Our space has capacity for one wheelchair user at any given time. If this applies to you, please let us know when you plan on visiting so that we can ensure you are able to access the space comfortably and safely. Our email is hello@gmacfilm.com.

There are two lifts to gain access to GMAC on 5th floor.

In the unlikely event of a fire, both lifts will be out of use, and everyone will exit the building via five flights of stairs. If a disabled person is in the building and cannot evacuate using the stairs, the fire rescue team will be called immediately to recover them.

You can use our accessibility guide and access form to let us know what adjustments or support we can provide to ensure you can take part.

We recognise that our space is not as accessible as we would like it to be. With this in mind, please know that we are reviewing our next steps towards a more accessible experience for all.
