Event description

The Neuro Assessment and Treatment Course provides the manual therapist or exercise professional with an in depth understanding of neuroanatomy, neural pain disorders, pain science, and the practical skills to perform a range of neurological assessment procedures and physical treatment techniques.

The nervous system can be a complex and intimidating system to understand and work with, but it is critical for effective assessment and treatment planning. This program has been developed to fill the gap in undergraduate training that so often leaves health practitioners wishing they knew more about how to help their patients with neurological related presentations.

You will receive a comprehensive pre-course learning program that covers everything from basic neuroanatomy all the way through to modern pain science principles to help you understand, classify and treat various clinical pain presentations.

The pre-course materials will equip beginners and advanced therapists with a strong foundational understanding of the nervous system, and the two day practical training will bring the theory to life and make it easy to apply in the clinical setting.

The practical component of this course will guide you through the structure and function of the peripheral nervous system in a hands on manner, along with neurological assessment procedures such as sensory and motor testing, reflex testing and neurodynamic testing.
In addition to developing these skills, you will gain an understanding of what these assessment findings mean and what we as practitioners can do with that information in the clinical setting.

Plus! You will gain free access to the post course video library that covers instructional videos of all of the assessment and treatment techniques covered in the workshop for you to revise.

This course is suitable for any therapist working with the physical body who wants to raise the bar in their clinical practice and apply contemporary models of assessing and treating neurological disorders and pain.
