👋 NeuroSparks Sydney Pilot Social Meetup
Come along for a relaxed afternoon of games, conversation and hanging out with other neurodivergent adults. New faces are very welcome!

📅 WHEN
Saturday 28 November 2026, 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Come and go anytime.

📍 WHERE
Activity Room 3 (Peter Cross Room), Ashfield Civic Centre / Town Hall, 260 Liverpool Road, Ashfield.

♿ ACCESS
Council lists ramp and wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, and accessible parking at the shopping centre. The closest train station is Ashfield. Please contact the organisers beforehand about specific access needs.

CASUAL, WITH A LITTLE STRUCTURE
We'll have four loosely organised zones to give you a few ways to connect:

  • 🧱 Build Zone: build, tinker or make something while hanging out.

  • 🎲 Games Zone: card games and board games. Join a game or watch for a while.

  • 💬 Chat & Special Interest Zone: have a casual chat or share something you're passionate about. Listening is welcome too!

  • 😌 Quiet Zone: a calmer corner to take a breather or enjoy quiet company, with fidgets if available. You're welcome to bring your own. This is a shared room, so we can't promise complete silence.

These are options, not a schedule. There's no pressure to perform, introduce yourself to everyone or join any particular activity.

Feel free to move between zones throughout the afternoon, meet different people and try different things. Staying with one activity or simply hanging out is completely fine too.

👋 COMING ALONE?
That's absolutely fine! Many people come on their own, so you'll be in good company. Our organisers are welcoming and happy to help you find an activity or join a conversation. You don't need to know anyone beforehand or have a clever opening line ready.

🍎 GAMES, FOOD & DRINKS
Feel free to bring board games or card games, as well as your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Please clean up after yourself so we can continue using the venue.

🌿 NEED A BREAK?
You can step away whenever you need to. The activity rooms are separated by partitions and nearby activities may be audible. A separate quiet room is not provided.

⚠️ CONCERNS
If another attendee's behaviour makes you uncomfortable, or you notice a hazard, incident or injury, please tell an organiser promptly so we can respond.

📸 PHOTOS & VIDEO
We may occasionally take photos or short videos to share NeuroSparks activities with our community and supporters. You're welcome to opt out: tell an organiser and we won't intentionally photograph or film you.

📋 RSVPS
This event is free and for adults aged 18+. No formal diagnosis is required. RSVPs are capped at 30, with space reserved within the room's total capacity for organisers and helpers. If you RSVP and can no longer attend, please cancel so someone else can take your place. Please include any accompanying support person in your booking count. This event is free.

If you previously responded to the Sydney expression of interest, please check the confirmed date and venue and update your RSVP if you cannot attend.

🛡️ SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY
This is an adult community meetup, not a clinical or crisis service. Organisers don't provide individual supervision, personal care or medical support. Please arrange your own support person if needed and contact us beforehand about access.

Respect consent, privacy and personal boundaries. Follow venue rules and safety directions, use materials safely and look after your belongings. Harassment or unsafe behaviour may result in being asked to leave.

Report injuries, hazards or concerns promptly. In an emergency, call 000 and alert an organiser or venue staff. These expectations do not exclude rights or responsibilities under Australian law.
