Event description
An election is coming, another one. We are already hearing the voices shouting about how important this one will be. In the cascade of all the news and pushy people, let's pause to ask why it matters. We can vote not out of obligation but out of joy. To sing our values into being is to affirm our vote and to celebrate what is good and real in our communities:
- Who we are.
- What we value.
- How we show up.
- When we make ourselves known.
- Whom we journey with.
- How we hold ourselves accountable.
What are the songs that remind us of the good in ourselves; the songs that help us to be our best; the songs we sing to ensure those around us have what they need? The songs that allow us to show up for and with each other. The songs we sing to change, to grow, to renew, to include, to wrestle, and to remind.
In a time when we are encouraged to vote out of fear, we fight back to shout, we vote out of love and our right to belong.
