World Metrology Day 2021 (12.00pm - 5.30pm)

World Metrology Day is an annual celebration to mark the signing of the Metre Convention in 1875, which set the framework for global collaboration in the science of measurement. Metrology plays a central role in scientific discovery and innovation, industrial manufacturing and international trade, improving the quality of life and protecting the global environment.

Following the official opening, MSL will deliver a full programme of talks, workshops, lab tours and the opportunity to network.

This annual celebration acknowledges the global measurement infrastructure that exists today, 126 years on from the first countries signing the Metre Convention. It is also a chance to stay up-to-date with current measurement related research and developments, hear about global trends, MSL initiatives and talk to MSL scientists and customers about topical issues.

Lunch and afternoon tea included
