Event description
COME AND BREATHE WITH US! 🌬️🌿💜
Join us for a 2 hour sesh focused on exploring the breath, mind, and body, as we guide ourselves into a gentle hypnotic state and give ourselves the opportunity to spend time within our subconscious.
This class will blend two nurturing breathing techniques that support and nourish the nervous system, bringing us into a deeply peaceful parasympathetic state. Down regulation or parasympathetic breathwork focuses on activating the body's 'rest and digest' response, which is essential for enhancing nervous system resilience. Unlike somatic breathwork which heavily focuses on mouth breathing, this style emphasises nasal breathing and offers a more meditative and calming space to observe our thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
We will be pairing these breathwork techniques with our favourite plant medicine, Blue Lotus, which is known for promoting deep states of relaxation, alleviating anxiety, and supporting relief from insomnia, stress and depression.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Blue Lotus tea and community connection
- 10 minutes of mindful movement
- An introduction to the breathing techniques
- 50 minutes of guided down-regulated breathwork
- Remaining time sharing circle and light refreshments
Held at a home yoga shala nestled in the Perth foothills, this evening promises to be the perfect Friday retreat, offering a beautiful way to unwind, restore harmony, and reconnect with inner balance.
Hope to see you there!
With love,
Pia
