A fun filled Saturday evening of iconic Tassie drag performance, burlesque, dancing, beverages and a tasty food truck in the beautiful indoor beer garden at queer friendly Welcome Swallow Brewery in New Norfolk.

New NorFUNK drag and burlesque performances are for a mature audience and contain adult themes.

new NorFunk is afternoon/evening that showcases some of iconic Tassie drag performance, burlesque, pole performances and comedy brought to New Norfolk.
Our goal is to make lgbtqia+ more accessible to rural areas such as the Derwent Valley and have been successful in creating a safe inclusive space for everyone.

We are about to embark on our 6th edition, and are super excited to do a Saturday night event back at the queer friendly welcome swallow brewery.

This year we are hoping to create an even safer space by having the option of a bus for the community’s from Hobart & surrounds

We are excited to introduce the Kinetic Rainbow bus as a transport option for folks
from Hobart & Glenorchy to New Norfolk and back.
TasPride have partnered with Kinetic so we can offer you this transport option at only $20 return.
There will be onboard entertainment by your host Leelyn Double Chin.

New NorFunk is a triennial queer inclusive variety show, featuring Tasmanian drag, comedy, burlesque, & pole dancing performers. The event brings queer and allied performers to the Derwent Valley and attracts a mixed audience of locals and folks from Hobart & surrounds. Over it’s last five iterations has successfully created a LGBTIQ+ inclusive environment where queer culture is celebrated and destigmatised and everyone is welcome.
New NorFunk currently takes place at the Welcome Swallow Brewery indoor beer garden in New Norfolk. This October we are producing our sixth edition on Saturday the 12th of October 2024. We are hoping to introduce a bus transport option for folks who live in Hobart and surrounds so they can responsibly enjoy Welcome Swallow Brewery products and be safely transported home afterwards
