    Event description

    NEW SHOW ADDED!

Marcus Whale launches his fourth album, Ecstasy, at Pact, with a hybrid live music-dance-theatre performance taking place across the entire performance space. Taking inspiration from Saint Teresa of Avila's violent raptures with angels from heaven, Ecstasy explores losing the boundaries of the self through mystified desire and the mystical ritualism of the rave and the club.

Marcus will be joined by jachlo, local improvised music geniuses Jacques Emery and Chloe Kim, both as the opening act and as his band for the show.

    About PACT

PACT’s vision is driven by the belief that emerging artists are the engines that power the arts sector, producing the most ground-breaking works of today and tomorrow. For almost 60 years PACT has provided performance makers with the time, space, and professional development needed to advance their artistic careers and drive forward the performance culture of Australia. Since 1964, PACT has been situated on the unceded land of the Gadigal people. We are privileged to gather and create art on their land and would like to pay our respect to elders past and present. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
