The rules around Payday Super have changed! Find out how these changes affect you at New Wave: Know Your Super.

Speaking to our new Superannuation resources, Emma Brophy (The Gild Group) will host an info session on Payday Super, focusing on the information you actually need to know as an artist, sole trader, music worker or music business owner. She’ll walk through the practical steps involved in getting set up, staying on top of your obligations and making sure super is being paid correctly and on time.

The session will also look at how artists and music workers can better understand their super, plan for it alongside irregular income, and make it part of a sustainable approach to working in the music industry.

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding on what Payday Super means and how to build superannuation into your working life without the overwhelm. The session will end with a Q&A segment where you can ask Emma any questions you’ve got.

This is an online session – register now.

Who is this workshop for

This workshop is for emerging and established artists, music workers, freelancers, sole traders and music businesses.

New Wave is a MusicNSW program built to give artists across NSW the practical tools and real-world insights they need to grow. An evolution of our much-loved Sound Advice program, New Wave features in-person and digital workshops, events and development programs all over the state, built for artists finding their footing and the people working behind the scenes to make things happen across local music scenes in NSW.

MusicNSW is the peak body for contemporary music in New South Wales - here for the artists, communities and music businesses that make this state's culture what it is.

With Artists. For Culture. From the Ground Up.

MusicNSW works, creates and listens on unceded Aboriginal land across the state. We honour elders past and present and acknowledge all First Nations peoples as the original music makers, storytellers and knowledge holders. Always was, always will be.

MusicNSW is supported by Sound NSW.
