BALLOON | BICYCLE | WALK PARADE

A vibrant parade celebrating pride in all forms, followed by a BBQ at Nobbys Beach.

After the epic vibes of last year's parade DJ Lisa Anita spinning beats from her legendary DJ bicycle, Coles BBQ smokin’ up the good stuff, and a whole lotta dancing, we’re back, baby… and we’re going BIGGER, BOLDER, and BALLOONIER!  This isn't your average parade this is a rainbow-powered, glitter-blasted, all-wheels-welcome celebration of pride and pure JOY!

Let’s turn the Newcastle foreshore into a sparkling sea of colour, creativity, and community. Think feathers, balloons, glitter explosions, and costumes so bright you’ll need sunnies to watch the parade!

So bring your friends, your family, your fur babies, and most importantly bring your boldest, brightest self. It’s time to roll into 2025 like the dazzling stars we are. Let’s light up the city with love, laughter, and a WHOLE lotta sparkle. Newcastle, are you ready to roll?

Registration: 10.30 - 11.30am | Depart: 11.45pm | End: 2pm

Parade Tickets:

$2 per person ( NCC administration fees)

Meeting place: Honeysuckle Drive Car park walking along foreshore path and end at Nobbys Beach where our Principal Partner COLES will put on a BBQ

$2 for a sausage sanga or $4 for a steak sanga (all proceeds will be donated to Newcastle Pride Youth formal)

Allowed in Parade:

• All ages are welcome (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

• Portable sound systems to enhance the parade atmosphere.

• Small pushables (e.g., strollers, wheelchairs).

• Mobility scooters.

• Dogs are permitted, but please consider leaving them at home if it's a hot day.

• A must: Bring an inclusive and fun-loving attitude!

Not Allowed:

• No motor vehicles / motorcycles / Bicycles / scooters (this is a walking parade only)

• Zero tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, or any discriminatory behaviours.

About the host: Newcastle Pride Inc is an inclusive, vibrant, fun Newcastle based incorporated association, an LGBTQIA+ community-based charity organisation established in March 2018. Newcastle Pride celebrates sexuality and gender diversity in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region within and outside our community. We work collaboratively to foster LGBTQIA+ Pride. We are fully inclusive.
